Judge the quality before you buy

I APPOINT my wife SARAH LOUISE SMITH of 14 Kingsley Avenue, Harrogate, HG1 4TT to be the sole Executor and Trustee of this my Will.

IF the above named shall predecease me or shall be unable or unwilling to act, THEN I APPOINT my brother DAVID JOHN SMITH of 9 Elmfield Road, Leeds, LS8 1AB to be the Executor and Trustee of this my Will in her place.

The expression “my Trustees” where used in this my Will shall mean the Executors and Trustees for the time being hereof.

I GIVE the whole of my residuary estate to my wife SARAH LOUISE SMITH absolutely, provided that she survives me by thirty (30) days.

IF the above gift fails, I GIVE my residuary estate to such of my children as shall survive me and attain the age of eighteen (18) years and if more than one in equal shares absolutely.

PROVIDED THAT if any child of mine shall predecease me leaving issue living at my death, such issue shall take by substitution and through all degrees, per stirpes, the share which that child would otherwise have taken.

I WISH my body to be cremated and my ashes scattered at Fountains Abbey, but I direct that this wish shall not be binding upon my Executors.

I ASK that my Executors read the Letter of Wishes kept with this my Will, which records my personal messages and my wishes concerning items of sentimental value.
